Funeral services for Dr. Douglas Keith Tennison, 69, of Silsbee will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. John’s Episcopal Church under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dr. Tennison passed away January 1, 2016 at Houston Methodist Hospital.
Doug was born in Beaumont and was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He was a doctor for many years before retiring for Tennison’s Clinic.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. George D. and Elise Tennison.
Survivors include his wife Pam Tennison of Silsbee; sons Douglas Keith Tennison, II and Lori Lynne Cheramie of Framingham, MA and Logan McInnis of Bridge City; daughters Tracy Claire Tennison Codrington and husband John of Spring, Jessica Elise Laidlaw and Kate Coe McInnis both of Silsbee; brother Reverend George Nelson Tennison and wife Martha of Mandeville, LA; sisters Janis Elise Tennison Stover and husband Earl of Kountze, Chris Michele Tennison McCormick and husband Glen of Carencro, LA and Melanie Kay Tennison of Silsbee; five grandchildren Abby Claire and Reed Douglas Codrington, Drew Laidlaw, Zoe Coe and Jhett McInnis and ten nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hardin County Indigent Care Fund or Nature Conservatory.
