When my daddy was sick and I was so worried about him, he would tell me,
"Don't worry about me. Doug is taking care of me." And Doug did. There were times when Daddy was in the nursing home Mom would walk in and find Doug there drinking coffee with Daddy. Doug would tell my mom that he got finished playing tennis and thought he would like to have a cup of coffee with Mr. Buddy. Those cups of coffee with Daddy did Daddy more good than any medicine Doug could prescribe. That caring for a patient meant so much to Momma and Daddy. I am sure many more thought as much of Doug as Daddy did.
