Carolyn King Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1938 - 2016 Carolyn King, 77, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at home. She was born October 31, 1938 in Matewan, WV daughter of the late Carlysle and Mary Varney Bell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son David R. King. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio where she worked in the bookroom prior to church service. She is survived by her husband William “Bill” King; one daughter and son-in-law Becky and Andy Smarr of Huntington, WV; and two grandchildren Kristen and Nicole Keown. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Our meeting was very brief but I knew instantly what a wonderful person she was and devoted family. I was her first room mate at Heartland and am so sorry. Our loss is heavens gain.

Bill we are so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We are out of town and won't be able to come to her visitation and funeral. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
