Delma Simms Perry Hardgrow, 97 of Huntington passed away on January 2, 2016. She was born September 25, 1918 in Ronceverte, W. Va. Mrs. Hardgrow was a master seamstress and a daycare owner for many years. She was the daughter of the late Edward F Simms, Sr and Evelyn May Simms, also proceeded her in death was a brother, Edward F Simms, II (Brownie), 2 husbands Twedell C Perry and Charles L Hardgrow. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Norma Jeanne Perry Washington of Huntington. Her 3 loving grandchildren, Kevin D Washington (Caprice), P. DeJuan Washington (Pamela) and Shawlaun S Washington. A sister Ophelia Dawson, 2 brothers, Donald G Simms, Sr. (Susette) and Virgil A. Simms (Laverne). She has 5 great grandchildren, Julian D Washington, Kayla S Washington, Sasha J Taylor, Amara S Washington and Kevin D Washington, II all of whom she adored. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors that she was fond of. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
