Along with his mother and grandparents he was preceded in death by his wife Paula Medley Burcham; a niece, Mary Bowles; a nephew Timothy Fowler; a special uncle, Freddie Burcham; and many other uncles and aunts. He is survived by his daughter Vickie Burcham and her friend Shelley Murphy of Ashland, KY; four sisters Glada Burcham of Hurricane, WV, Rosa Clark of Willow Wood, Ohio, Phyllis (Buddy) Fowler of Crown City, Ohio, and Ellena (Jerry) Powers of Proctorville, Ohio; and a sister not raised in the grandparents home, Patty Pardue of Huntington, WV; nephews Chris Harmon, Jeff Fowler, David Bowles, Darin Powers and Jay Powers; nieces Debbie Harmon and Rebecca Bowles Handy; one aunt Carol Finley of Lebanon, Ohio; two very special friends that he loved to play cards with, Mary Christian and Jewlie Vance. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Symmes Valley Vikings. Before moving to Florida he loved playing adult softball with his friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Gerritt Kimmey and his oncology staff, those at St. Mary’s Medical Center who cared for him, the staff at the St. Mary’s Infusion Center and Hospice of Huntington.
