Carrie Sue Shimp, 69, of Milton, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was born March 5, 1946 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Noral and Reba Thompson. She is also preceded in death by one brother, John Douglas Thompson and two sisters, Helen Ginn and Glendia Thompson. She is survived by one son, James Jeffers (Sheila Basadre); one daughter, Sheri Ann Mooney (Scott); five sisters, Doris Reich, Katherine Lindgren, Wilma Jean Haas, Linda Ann Burns and Reba Noreen Ancell; three brothers, Russell Thompson, Lester Thompson and Thomas Thompson; five grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Null (Matt), Brittani Dawn Jeffers, Haley Danielle Jeffers, Heather LeAnn Jarrett (Chris) and April Marie Hogg (Garrett). Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Harvey’s Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Hamlin. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
