Funeral services for Jackson “Jack” Haywood Roth Sr., 86, of Kountze will be 10:00 am Friday, March 18, 2016 at Honey Island Assembly of God under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at William Hart Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the church from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Mr. Roth passed away March 15, 2016 at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare.
He was born June 23, 1929 in Victoria, TX and was a longtime resident of Kountze. He was a retired mechanic for Dresser IDECO.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee and Avis Lumpkins Roth; wife Merlene Bohler Roth; brothers R.L. Roth, Alvin Roth, W.J. Roth, and Robert Roth; and sister Judy Smart.
Survivors include sons Jackson H. Roth Jr. and wife Sandra of Honey Island, Harry W. Roth and wife Cheryl of Michigan; daughter Helen Daniel and husband Dub of Moss Hill; sister Snookie Chessher and husband David of Honey Island; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
