Frieda Darlene Stephens, 87, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Friday April 1, 2016 at Rivers Bend Health Care, South Point, Ohio. She was born July 2, 1928 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Kelley and Birdie Keeney Freeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Stephens; a daughter Karen Sue Freeman; and three brothers Tommy, Walter, and Bernard Freeman. She was a member of Pomaria Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter Phyllis (Jerry) Henderson of Chesapeake, Ohio; three grandchildren Timothy Henderson, Paul Allen Henderson, and Dorothy Sue Heffner; four great granddaughters; and two great grandsons. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday April 3, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Mitchell Webb. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
