Funeral services for Truman B. 'Buck' Knight Jr, 77, of Buna will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Knight passed away March 31, 2016 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
A native of Belzoni MS, he was a longtime resident of this area. Buck worked as an operator at DuPont Beaumont for 31 years before retiring. Mr. Knight was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buna and proudly served his country in the US Army.
Buck is preceded in death by his parents Truman B. Sr and Bessie Troxell Knight and son Dale Knight.
Survivors include his wife Jewell Womack Knight of Buna; son Daron Knight of Beaumont; step-sons Jay Lee Hare and wife Freddye and Jerry Lynn Hare and wife Glenda, all of Silsbee; daughter Danell Hughes of Beaumont; step-daughters Frances Darlene DeFee and husband Michael of Hemphill and Marla Gay Day and husband Buddy of Evadale; sister Frinacie Horn and husband Kenneth of Groves; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Knight will be missed by his family and many friends, who loved him dearly.
