1937 - 2016
Lorena Mae “Cricket” (Phelps) Miller, September 17, 1937-March 25, 2016, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, after a long battle with illness. She is survived by her husband James “Tom” Miller; siblings Eddie Phelps and Norma Jean Williams; children Sherri and Larry McKenna and Bart and Becky Turner; grandchildren Jaye and Chasten Toler, Larry McKenna, Allison and Jeremiah Pence, and Josh Turner, and great-grandchildren Avery, Dax, Caleb and Kylea, and many more who loved her. She graduated as valedictorian at Hurricane High and held many jobs including wig stylist for Anderson Newcomb and Stone & Thomas. She will be remembered fondly as a sweet woman, always with a Pepsi in her hand. A celebration of her life will be held at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel in Barboursville, WV, Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be sent to Ronald McDonald House, 1500 17th Street, Huntington, WV 25701, or brought to the service. They will establish a memorial at RMH in her honor. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

If you've looked to the stars at night to find an angel chorus, you've done well. If you've looked into your heart to find the angel's song you've done better
