Funeral services for Mildred Inez ‘Granny’ Sharp, 89, of Silsbee will be 10 am Monday, April 11, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sharp passed away April 8, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Born July 27, 1926 in Evadale to Samuel Silas and Ellen Anner Gore Denmon, Inez was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a graduate of Chenier Business College and a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sharp is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford Herman Sharp, son Joseph Bryan Sharp, brothers Cecil, Dudley, Sam Houston and Elton Denmon and sisters Olyer Smith, Ola Mae Scott, Vinna Rogers and Aileen Carroll.
‘Granny’ is survived by sons Cleve Sharp and wife Cindy of Huffman, John Sharp and wife Barbara of Silsbee, Steve Sharp and wife Pamela of Silsbee, Sam Sharp and wife Annalyn of Beaumont and Dan Sharp and wife Vicky of Buna; daughter Bridget Louise Jones and husband Christopher of Silsbee; honorary sons David Sanders of Liberty, Lon Felps of Lumberton and Rufus Cook of Bastrop, LA and sister Frances Tillery of Waller.
She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren.
‘Granny’ Sharp will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
