1923 - 2016
 Dorothy Mae Casella, 93, of Proctorville, Ohio left this earth in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio. Mrs. Casella was born March 13, 1923 in Lowell, Ohio (Marietta, Ohio) the fourth daughter of Harry J. Wenzel and Elizabeth Born Wenzel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Leona Haas (Marietta, Ohio) Betty Flora (Crestview, Ky), Ethel Newhart (Marietta, Ohio); brother Hayward “Dick” Wenzel (Bucyrus, Ohio); husband Frank Casella (Proctorville, Ohio); and son Sammy Wentz Casella. Mrs. Casella, a graduate of Lowell High School (Marietta, Ohio) and was very proud to reminiscence her days of playing basketball-center guard on an undefeated championship team for several years. After graduation Mrs. Casella moved to Huntington, WV with her sister Betty Wenzel Flora where she lived. She worked at Owens-Illinois where she met and later married Frank Casella, her husband of 59 years, who passed away January 16, 2004. Later they moved to Proctorville, Ohio and she became a housewife and raised four children Karen Casella Davis Bennett of Proctorville, Ohio, Sammy Wentz Casella (deceased 8/28/2009), JoAnn Casella Eagle (South Point, Ohio) and Tammy Casella Williams (South Point, Ohio); grandchildren Samantha Casella Spitzer; Johnathan Casella, Joshua Eagle, Josi Eagle Boukhemis and Jewelia Williams Elliott; great grandchild Jace Hunter Casella; In laws, Gary Davis (Deceased 12-11-2003), Richard Bennett, Dianne Carey Casella, David Eagle, Timothy Williams, Jamie Casella, Karim Boukhemis, Lee Elliott, and Jodi Spitzer; and many special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Casella wishes were to stay in her own home with her dog Bella. The family extends much appreciation to her special caregivers that she loved and stayed with her from the beginning to the end, neighbors, friends, family, Travel MD and Hospice. Funeral service will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
