1936 - 2016
Eldon Lee Maynard, 79, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Monday April 11, 2016 at home. He was born June 9, 1936 in Wayne, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Kiah and Irene Maynard; two sisters Loretta Layman and June Snyder; and one brother Walter Maynard. He was owner of Maynard’s Masonry. He was a retired Brick Layer from Brick Layer Local #5 and a retired member of Chesapeake Fire Department. He was a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Cincinnati. He is survived by his wife Lucy Wells Maynard; son Gary (Cheryl) Maynard; Brenda (Gene) Taylor of whom he thought of as a daughter; one grandson Matt Maynard; one granddaughter Bethany (Thomas) Giles; six great grandchildren Kady, Emmy, Michaela, Mason, Ryan and Austin; one brother Kenneth (Daisy) Maynard; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to HIMG, St. Mary’s Oncology and Dr. Valsecchi. Per his request there will be no visitation or services. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Gary & Lucy, I am so sorry to read of Eldons passing. I absolutely loved Eldon. He was a GREAT man that loved to tease. I 1st met him when I worked @ Monty's, he would come in on Fri. nites for pizza pick up & tease me from time he came in door til he left.He will be GREATLY missed by all who came into contact with. Hes out of pain now. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I will be praying for the family.
