Myrtle Mae Meadows, 89, of Milton, passed away April 16, 2016. She was born June 28, 1926, in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Boyd and Sarah Graves Hanks. She was also preceded in death by her husband Denver Meadows; daughter Carletta Morell; grandson Shane Allan Meadows; great grandson Drake Andrew Smith; great granddaughters Lalla Hayes and April Johnson. She is survived by twelve daughters Nola Jean Ashworth, Joyce Smith, Gretchen Meadows, Brenda Pratt, Erma Hatfield, Deborah Clagg, Arlene Sadler, Susan Porter, Becky Meadows, Almeda Hayes, Anna Enyart, and Sheila Van Orden; five sons Curtis Meadows, Michael Meadows, Gregory Meadows, Bruce Meadows, and Dwayne Meadows; 54 grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Ted Nance. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery. One of my favorite memories of mama is her letting me help her with the many quilts she made when I was young. A strong women to have had 18 children.

The VanOrden Family would like to reflect on the deep love that we felt for our Mother/Grandmother. Although the distance doesn't allow us to be with the rest of the family at this time, please know that our hearts are broken with grief. All our love for everyone experiencing sorrow at this loss.
