Lawrence Paul Rose, 93, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Sunday April 17, 2016 at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, Ohio. He was born November 28, 1922 in Lawrence County, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Bias and his wife Leona McMaster Rose. He is survived by one son Larry (Sandra) Rose; one sister Edna (Stanley) Diehl; one granddaughter Aimee Kettel; four great grandchildren Army PFC Preston Tyler Ward, PFC Joshua Kettel, Sarah Kettel and Mary Kettel; one great great granddaughter Autumn Ward; and a very special friend Eloise Hayes. Mr. Rose was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He also was a member of Windsor Chapel Church, Proctorville V.F.W. Post #6878 and Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM. He retired from Columbia Gas and served as Rome Township Trustee for many years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley and Hospice. Funeral service will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jerry Galloway and Pastor Jack Rankin officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. We will miss lp's smile and miss him staying up at night with us having coffee and donuts he will remain in our hearts and live on in our memories of all the good times (Jody and pearl)

We are so sorry for your loss. Lawrence Paul was a great man. I loved his life and pleasant manner. He will be missed. He had a huge impact on many during the eras of pony rides and trail riding. He will forever be in our memories.

Larry and family......the entire morris family is so sorry for your loss.....we remember when lawrence would come to our house when they were running the snow plows,mom and dad would always have fresh cake and coffee for them,he was agreat man,

I had the privilege to fish with L P many years ago in the Rome Bass Club. He was a fine gentleman and pleasure to know. So sorry for your loss
