Alex Evans Jr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1935 - 2016 Alex Evans Jr., 80, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born December 13, 1935 in Holden, W.Va., a son of the late Alex Sr. and Martha Sheppard Evans. He is also preceded in death by five brothers, Basil, Freddy, Ira, Eddie and Alvin Evans; two sisters, Shirlene Parsley and Freda Ooten and one grandson Rocky. He is survived by his loving wife Violet Finley Evans; one daughter, Michelle Sullivan (Rock) of Barboursville; two sons, Walter Alex Evans of Huntington and Larry Evans (Tami) of Scott Depot, W.Va.; one brother, Elijah Evans; one sister, Betty McCoy; three grandchildren, Amy, Hailey and Morgan; and five great-grandchildren, Candice Mae, Ski, Ethan, Jacob and Trey. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Evans family. I have fond memories of Mr Evans, I was fortunate enough to have been able to stop by and visit within the last few months. The Evans family will always have a spot in my heart. Again let me say how sorry I am.
