Funeral services for Faye Marie Smith Gore, 83, of Annapolis MD, formerly of Silsbee, will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2016 with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gore died April 18, 2016 at Heart Home Assisted Living in Annapolis MD.
Faye was born March 6, 1933 in Electra TX to Adolph and Mattie Smith Whittenbach. She was retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kountze where she worked as an RN. Before moving to Annapolis 11 years ago, she was a member of Church Alive in Lumberton and was involved in many different aspects of the church.
Mrs. Gore is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Thomas Smith and Aimuel Gore; brothers A W Whittenbach, Bob Whittenbach, Billy Joe Whittenbach and Don Whittenbach, and sisters Marilyn Beamon, Bernice Enbry, Kay Jones and Elizabeth Davenport.
Survivors include sons Eddie Lee Gore of Silsbee and Roderick William Gore of Plano; daughter Terrie Olver of Annapolis MD; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
