Funeral services for Gene Charles Darby, 74, of Lumberton will be 12:00 pm Friday April 29, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home. Interment will be 10:00 am Saturday April 30, 2016 at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral Home.
Mr. Darby passed away April 25, 2016 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Gene was born November 22, 1941 in Houston and was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi. He was a retired self employed Heat and Air Conditioner Tech and also had served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Beckman Darby.
Survivors include his wife Claudia Rey Van Brocklin Darby; his five sons Sherrill Darby of Dallas; James Earnest Darby of Brownwood, Lawrence Ray Darby of Lumberton, Arthur Charles Darby of Lumberton, and Michael Shane Darby of Lumberton; two brothers Walter Earnest Darby Jr. and Alfred Darby.
Mr. Darby will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
