James Everett Franks Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1926 - 2016 Funeral services for James Everett Franks, 90, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Friday May 6, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil at 4:30 pm. Visitation will be Thursday May 5, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Franks passed away May 4, 2016 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. He was born in Merryville Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Lumberton. James was a retired machinist and had served his country proudly in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Ida Estelle Mitchell Franks; his wife Carmen Christine Dean Franks; and brother Jack Dempsey Franks. Survivors include sons Jeff Franks of Lumberton, and James Mark Franks and wife Theresa Lynn of Lumberton; daughters Charlotte Lynn Lee and husband Gary of Fred, and Lisa Smith and husband John of Lumberton;; ten grandchildren Jeffery Neil Franks, Jeremy Lee, Naomi Breaux, Deric Lee, Eric Lee, Lindsay Leach, Jared Franks, Dru Franks, Josh Smith and Tyler Smith; and eighteen great grandchildren. Mr. Franks will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

I remember many campfire stories late at night. He will be missed by many. I am sure he has already found Uncle Dempsey and Dad. Swapping fish stories.

My heart are with all off his family that willmiss him everyday. He will always be with you in the eyes of all of you when you look in those eyes and his spirit will be with all of you always! Rest in Peace, Pop. I have never known anyone quite like you. You were one of a kind! I was just a kid when I met you, and feel like you had a hand in raising me. I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible gives us a hope of a resurrection, this is a provision from Jehovah God showing his undeserved kindness. In God's new world, " No resident will say; I am sick and pain will be no more--- Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:1-4. Please accept my sincere condolences.
