Funeral services for Asie Lee Matlock, 82, of Buna will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Calvary Apostolic Church of Evadale with interment to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be Friday May 6 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Matlock passed away May 4, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
He was born in Brookeland, Texas and was a longtime resident of Evadale. Asie was a retired electronic communications technician and had served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Evadale for the past 36 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gertis and Oren Matlock. Survivors include his wife Erma Matlock; daughters Sharlina Butchee and husband Lamar of Buna, Leesa Dohman and husband Tommy, Karry Holderrieth and husband Randy, Mona Durham and husband Eddy; brother Gertis Matlock Jr. and wife Ann; sister Nora Ann Campbell; grandchildren Dillon Butchee, Dalton Butchee, Jade Butchee, Samuel Clark, Ashley Dohman, Priceilla Dohman, Amy Holderrieth, Kaylee Holderrieth, Amy Scott, Justin Durham, and four great grandchildren. Asie Matlock was a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
