Carl Edward McQuaid, 64, of Ironton, Ohio passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born September 4, 1951 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene McQuaid and brother Terry McQuaid. He is survived by his wife Sue McQuaid; mother Theresa McQuaid of Huntington; three daughters Katrina (Jerry) Zornes of Huntington, Misty McQuaid of Huntington, and Cheryl (Shannon) Chaffin of Huntington; two sons Josh (Kim) Hitchings of Barboursville, WV and Travis (Stephanie ) Beaman of Independence, KY; grandchildren Trey Cole, Nicholas, Riley and Harrison Zornes, Mekhia McQuaid, Chloe, Hayden, Katie, Reagan, Mason, Gabriel, Parker, Colby, Haven, Kyle, and Alex; one sister Lizette (Phillip) Hager of Huntington; one brother Mark (Connie) McQuaid of Charleston, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and acquaintances. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Bishop Darell Hager. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday May 16, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. A great person who I enjoyed sitting with and listening to his shares. Always was supportive of me and greeted me with enthusiasm many of a Tuesday night. Way too soon for this. You will be missed Carl. Thanks for your example. My condolences to Sue and the rest of his family.Very sorry for your loss.
