George G.P./Jeep Dille Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1958 - 2016

George G.P./Jeep DilleGeorge Patrick Dille (G.P. or Jeep to most), 57, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jane Dille and Azel Monroe Dille, one sister, Karren Dille Dedario and a special cousin, Mary Lois Brown. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Williamson Dille, his daughter, Allie Brianne Priddy, and two sisters, Linda Dille Duncan, and Rebecca Dille Flowers. Jeep's kind spirit, caring heart, and constant smile served as the glue that has sustained his family through many difficult years. He kept the family home, a log cabin built by his parents, as a special place for family, friends and his family of special cats to gather. Jeep valued family above all else, and made sure important traditions stayed alive, even as so very many loved ones were lost along the way. Jeep enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife Jamie, his special daughter Allie, his immediate and extended family, his barbershop friends, his co-workers from Cabell Huntington Hospital, and hundreds of "best friends". Jeep had a deep and abiding faith, a huge sense of humor, loved to sing, was an incredibly hard worker, and always quietly put the needs of others before his own. He found his peaceful place on earth at Middle Bass Island on Lake Erie. In just less than a year, ALS diminished his physical strength, but did not break his beautiful spirit. He battled the disease bravely and, in his last days, wanted to surround himself with the many people he loved. Jeep was a shining example of what it is to be a truly good man, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, Ohio Wednesday, May 18 beginning at 4:00 PM, with a memorial service following at 7:00 PM. Rob Harris will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations for Jeep's wife and daughter may be sent to Cabell Huntington Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd. Huntington, WV 25701. Checks should be made payable to Jamie Dille. Condolences may be posted to the Hall Funeral Home website at www.timeformemory.com\hall.

I am so sorry to learn of Jeeps' passing. He was a very sweet, quiet, kind man who always had a smile. I once asked him, on Valentine's day for his group, who he was with at the time, to sing to me. They did! He was a wonderful man. Hugs to you Jamie and the rest of the family. Prayers

I am heart broken. He was such a great guy with a smile for everyone. He knew all there was to know about his department and where every thing was. He was so helpful in coming up with solutions to our problems with supplies. I worked with Jeep for many years at CHH. He was always the epitome of a first class employee and man. He will be missed by all of his CHH family. Many prayers and love to the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Dille family, as they mourn the loss of Jeep.He was such a great friend to my brother Teryl as he fought cancer. I'm so thankful he had someone such as Jeep to lean on. Gone way to soon.

It is with deep sorrow that the SPD dept. says goodbye to the best boss in the world. Jeep was some employees boss for just a few months and other employees boss for over 20 years yet he knew something personal about everyone of us. He smiled during our happy times and cried with us during our sad times. Jeep will forever be in our hearts. We love you Jamie & Allie The SPD Deptartment

I am so sorry for your loss. Jeep was an exceptional and unique individual. I was shocked initially to know that Jeep went to New York City every year. But the more I got to know Jeep I knew he was someone with broad appreciation for life. He made everyone he was around enjoy life more. He will be dearly missed at Cabell Huntington Hospital!
