Harley Adkins, 77, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born March 11, 1939 in Wayne County, WV son of the late Harmon and Martha Caldwell Adkins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Harley Eugene Adkins; six brothers; and one sister. He was a member of Windsor Independent Church. He is survived by his wife Libby Adkins; three sons Rick (Jennifer) Adkins of Ceredo, WV, Doug Adkins of South Carolina and Terry Frye of Huntington, WV; one daughter Anita Earls of Ceredo, WV; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one sister Cora Reed of Huntington, WV; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of many friends. The family extends a special thank you to Hospice. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jack Rankin and Pastor Harold Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
