1946 - 2016

Earnest Arlen Bohler, longtime resident of Silsbee, passed away after a short illness on May 23, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his father Arlen Blackie Bohler and his mother Madlean Watts Bohler.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Matthews Bohler of Silsbee; daughter Dannah Bohler and fiancé Glenn Drake, both of Wallace, North Carolina; step sons James Broucher and wife Lindsey of Village Mills, Matt Broucher and wife Amanda of Kountze; grandchildren Johnny and Michael Nethercutt both of Wallace, North Carolina, Haleigh Broucher of Village Mills, Kyler and Kori Bumstead and Kaycen Broucher of Kountze; brothers Carol, Tommy, Robert, and David Bohler, all of Silsbee; and countless nephews and nieces.

Earnest attended Silsbee schools and is a member of the class of 1965. After graduating from high school, he enlisted with the Marines and served our country proudly in the Vietnam War.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews Joe Mannino, Jason Mannino, Jed Mannino, Michael Tousha Jr., Cody Tousha, and John Thatcher.

Visitation will be 5pm until 9pm on Wednesday at Farmer Funeral Home. A graveside service and flag ceremony will be held 2pm Thursday May 26, 2016 at Resthaven Cemetery. Prayer and eulogy will be done by nephew Ed Sullivan and sister-in-law Deborah Matthews Tousha. Taps will be played by niece, Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, SGT. Virgie A. Sullivan.

Sharon, I just heard about Earnest passing, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that all is well for you, and you are doing good as expected due to loss of your love one.. My condolences, I will miss him Sharon as I miss you, it's not goodbye it's we will see him later, all my card games and domino games he beat me at are always with us
