Froud Dune Faulkner Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2016 The honorable Froud Faulkner, Jr. born December 31, 1947 went to meet Jesus in the early morning hours on May 27, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was also known as Dune to his family and close friends. Froud was a proud member of Blue Lodge #550 F & AM, a Scottish Ritesman, and honorable Kentucky Colonel. Froud was preceded in death by his son Michael D. Faulkner; his parents Frank and Essie Faulkner; two brothers Floyd “Toy” Black and Henry Black; sisters Pansy Chapman, Janice “Cookie” Bias Johnson, Bonnie Rainey, and Suzy Wallace; brothers and sisters-in-law Sharon Walters, Greg, Rick, Larry, and Bud McCormick; nephews Timothy Faulkner, Gary Triplett, Dwaine Combs; and nieces Jennifer Brookover and Amy Smith Dempsey. He is survived by his loving daughter Sherri Faulkner; his life long love Alice McCormick Faulkner; brother James (Coweta) Faulkner; sisters Opal Byrd and Dreama Layne; and Brittani Schaefer, the little one he raise as his own daughter; grandsons: first born grandson, Jason Gibson, Michael Faulkner, Jr., Wyatt Faulkner, Hunter Faulkner, and Jared Stanley; granddaughter Julia Faulkner Ferguson; great grandson that he loved so very much and brought him so much joy, Rowan A. Gibson. Dune’s second family whom he loved dearly are sisters-in-law Rita (Mike) Murphy, Carol Myers, Brenda Ferguson, Joyce Clark, Charlotte Marsh, Kathy Browning; brothers-in-law Rob (Vicky) McCormick. Tim McCormick, Chuck (Deborah) McCormick, Gary (Theresa) McCormick. Froud greatly enjoyed going to McDonald’s and hanging with his many friends and playing lotto and also attending Lodge functions. Daddy never met a stranger and was loved by many. He was a great man and he will be so very missed by his loving family. Fly high with the angels you sweet man. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday May 29, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Don Mack Reynolds. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday Mary 28, 2016 at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
