Brian Nelson Smith, 22, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Glenwood, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Guyan Creek Church Cemetery, Glenwood, WV. He was born March 3, 1994 in Huntington, WV, a son of Matthew Smith of Glenwood and Tammy Clay Fielder of Huntington. He was a machinist with Hammer’s Industry. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Layden Worthy Nelson Smith; three sisters, Cassandra Lawhon-Jeffers of Huntington, Brittany Nichole Bills of Ona and Emily Audreauna Smith of Glenwood; five brothers, Matthew Tyler Smith and his wife Jessey of Apple Grove, WV, Jason Alan Smith of Chesapeake, OH, Noah Scott Smith, Perry Fielder and Bobby Fielder, all of Huntington; his stepmother, Melissa Diana Smith; his stepfather, Robert Lee Fielder; his paternal grandparents, Roger E. and Brenda K. Smith of Glenwood; his maternal grandfather, Richard Clay of Ashland, KY; his paternal great grandmother, Alta Smith of Glenwood; his girlfriend, Taylor Brooke Wyant; and ten nieces and nephews. So sorry for your families great loss I pray for comfort for all the broken hearts and strength. He was a good young man that always had a smile on his face and it shined when he had his son and love ones with him. Glad to have known him. ??????

I am saddened by this accident. Brian was a great Dad and solid and very coachable basketball player, whom played at Hannan HS for me. Although I am unable to attend, I want to extend my condolences to the Smith family in this time of grief.
