Sue Stephens, 77, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Glass Family Care Home.
She was born June 29, 1938, in Ashland, to the late John and Heddy Brown Franklin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Inger Stephens Slone and John Russell Stephens; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Stephens; one brother, Richard Elliott; and one sister, Cora Lou Greenley.
Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of Grayson, a 1956 graduate of Ashland High School and retired from Ashland Oil, Inc. after 21 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Harold Stephens of Ashland; two brothers, Bill Franklin (Cora) of Ashland and Don Franklin (Katie) of Russell; a son-in-law, Jeff Slone of Grayson; four grandchildren, Gabe Slone, Zack Slone, Davis Stephens and Sloane Stephens; and one great-granddaughter, Inger Grace Slone.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Paul Schmidt officiating. Entombment will follow at Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
