1943 - 2016
Charles Parren Lewis, 73 (May 20, 1943), passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2016, at his home after battling pulmonary disease for the past two years. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mae (Dalton) Lewis, two children, Charles Darren Lewis, and Tamara (Lewis) Tilley, five grandchildren: Cameron Derrick Lewis, Logan Ray Lewis, Landon Scott Tilley, McKenzie Rose Lewis, and Lauren Anne Tilley, two great-grandchildren and 11 siblings: Mary Alice Heck, Laura Belle Barnett, Mildred Marie Jones, Doris Jean Powers, Neva Dee Goolsby, Phyllis Loretha Sadler, Dalton Walden Lewis, Darrell Keith Lewis, Nadine Kathleen Gibson, Clyde Roger Lewis, and Connie Mae Bartholomew. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Amazon Lewis and Celesta Dolly Lewis, two infant sons, and siblings Cecil Edison Lewis, Junior Denson Lewis, Tenny Varner Lewis, Sherwin Kay Lewis, Janice Adarene Powers, Naomi Alene Chapman. Parren worked for Union Boiler Company for many years. He loved Nascar, farming, sports, and spending time with his family. A private graveside service for his children and grandchildren will take place Saturday morning with a reception for family and friends at Milton Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
