Funeral service for Jean M. Lumpkin, 87, of Village Mills will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Wildwood/Village Mills United Methodist Church under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Lumpkin passed away July 1 at Beaumont Baptist Hospital.
Jean was a native of Corsicana and resident of Wildwood. She was a retired administrative secretary in public schools.
She is preceded in death by her parents William Nathan and Faye Stanton McCoin and husband Horace Landrum Lumpkin.
Survivors include sons Michael Lumpkin and wife Emily Ratner of Olney, Maryland and Richard Lumpkin and wife Denise of Hamshire; sister Marilyn Trent of Austin; six grandchildren Madeline Klein, Zachary Klein, Nicole Peveto, Jeremy Sarver, Mathew Sarver and Jarrod Beaugh and great grandchildren Sierra, Brandon, Zachary, Tyler, Braxton and Slayden.
