C. L. “Butch” Brunty, 58, of Salt Rock, received his ultimate healing on July 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. noon Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Valley of Decision Church, Salt Rock, by Pastor Kevin Shull. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. He was born September 10, 1957 in Hamlin, a son of Eloise Adkins Brunty of West Hamlin and the late Carl Brunty. He was a retired Enforcement Division Manager with the State of West Virginia Public Service Commission with 39 years of service, a member of Valley of Decision Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rick Morrison and mother-in-law, Fern Triplett. He is survived by his wife, Vickie “Vick” Triplett Brunty; one son, Josh Brunty (Sarah) of Barboursville; one sister, Rose Morrison (Mike Casto) of Proctorville, Ohio; one brother, Doug Brunty (Dee Davis) of Salt Rock; one special, special granddaughter, his “Baby Girl” Emma Brunty; brothers-in-law, Rick Triplett (Patty) and Dwight Triplett (Brenda); one sister-in-law, Chriss Bowen (Brad); father-in-law, Dencil Triplett of Barboursville; five nephews, Jay Morrison, Jonathan Triplett, Michael Triplett, Tyler Brunty, and Chad Bowen; one niece, Kelsie Brunty; and special friends Dale and Rose Miller and Gary and Brenda Ross. The family would like to thank Dr. Kimmey and his staff for their kindness and care. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Butch I am sorry for the suffering you've had to endure here on Earth. You're going to be missed by so many you've touched people in such a positive way. I will never forget you. Vickie am truly sorry for your loss of your husband. Some people can go on Lifetime and not find the perfect spouse for them but I believe the two of you were meant to be together in this life.

I haven't seen Butch since we graduated from GVHS, but when I heard of his passing the first thing I remembered about him was his big smile. My sincere condolences to his family.
