Christine Short, 95, of Crown City, Ohio went to be with her Lord Saturday July 16, 2016 at home. She was born July 5, 1921 in Scottown, Ohio to the late Lines and Olive Mann Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clancy Short, sons Paul E. Short, Sr., and Clancy “Bub” Short, Jr.; one daughter Fleeta M. Greene; granddaughter April Short; grandson Dakota Ward; three sisters Gertrude Short, Maxine White and Opal Murdock. She is survived by three daughters Juanita (Herman) Rossiter of Crown City, Ohio, Shirley Greene of Crown City, Ohio, and Marjorie (Gary) Matheny of Proctorville; two sons Bernard (Reva) Bowen and Roger (Joyce) Short both of Scottown, Ohio; daughter-in-law Dorothy Short; son-in-law Leon Greene; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and attended Forest Glenn Community Church. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Meredith Turley. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the funeral home.
