A memorial service for Connie Elton Olive, 77, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
Mr. Olive died July 21, 2016 at his residence.
A native of Durham, NC, he was a longtime resident of this area. Connie was retired from the US Air Force, proudly serving his nation during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a mechanic as was owner of Connie’s Car Care.
Mr. Olive is preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Elsie Dean Olive; sons Robert Alford and Timothy Alford and daughter Jeanne Deatly.
Survivors include his wife, Julia McCorkle Olive of Lumberton; sons Joseph Alford of Huntsville, Travis Olive and Dennis Olive, both of Oklahoma, and Elton Olive of Lumberton; daughters Kathleen Jones and Patricia Gober, both of Lumberton and Bonnie Walker of Oklahoma; brother Ronnie Olive of Noel, MO; sisters Mary Mitchell, Geneva Height and Lorraine Blalock, all of North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
