I remember Myrtle from high school but didn't know her at that time because I was only a 7th grader when she was a senior. While my daughter (Stacey Griffith Sanderson) was being inducted into the Chapmanville High School Hall of Fame I met Myrtle and got to share some fond memories of our High School days. Myrtle was so warm, friendly and full of life. She struck a cord in my heart. You don't know me but I wanted to share this bit of nostalgia with you, her family. I am deeply sorry to hear of her passing. Love and prayers to your family.

Although I only knew Myrtle for a short time, it was evident she was a special, well-loved lady who will be greatly missed. May those closest to her find comfort through memories and peace in time.

I graduated with Myrtle and her husband Pete Neil at Chapmanville May 1961. They both were wonderful class mates and were great friends. I was so happy to see Myrtle and spend time with her reminiscing at our 50th Class Reunion in June 2011, but even though I'm sad at her passing, I will be happy at our next Reunion in Heaven.
Thank you for being my friend,
Adrian
