Floyd Ford Wilmoth, 88, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the
Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. He was born on March 2,
1928, son of the late Ada and Lloyd. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army 82nd Airborne
and a longtime employee of Columbia Gas. He was a Gideon, an avid fisherman, a
devoted Marshall fan, and a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lois Wilmoth;
brother Junior; sisters Helen, Pete, Madelyn, and Mary. He is survived by one son Steve
(Loretta) Wilmoth; two daughters, Linda (Frank) Pierce, Brenda Wilmoth; 11
grandchildren, Angie Justice (Gregory Raymond), Scott Wilmoth, Jay (Tasha) Justice,
Kristy (Michael) Turner, Brandon Justice, Jessica Pierce (William Payne), Ford Wilmoth
II, Derek Brown, Elias von Wolfe, Hannah Boyles and Claire Boyles; and seven great-
grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Altizer Baptist Church for more than 50
years. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Cledith Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
