Always seemed like a decent guy. I was on the crew that opened the Chesapeake McDonalds. He gave me my first real job. Always busy, always fair with me and always asking about the family.

Dick has been a friend and client for 40 years and I will sorely miss him. He was perhaps the most moral businessman I have ever known but had his humorous side too; like when he rode in the back of my sports car which really had no back seat. He will leave a hole in the universe. May he rest in peace.

I am very sad to hear the news of this great loss. When I was a little girl attending St. Ann's Parish, he donated donuts, coffee and the McDonald's orange drink Sundays after church. It was always such a treat. Years lady I had the pleasure of selling him glasses and blessed with visits from him every week as he was battling cancer. I've been in attendance and amazed at his performance at many 5ks sponsored by various Catholic Schools. Such a great man who I will miss immensely. He did everything he could to maintain good health. The medical testing failed him and for that I am very sad. May he rest in peace as I know he will enjoy eternal glory.

Dick was a true brother in blue. Years ago when in the restaurant he would often refuse to accept payment for my meal and sit and swap police stories with me. His were always much better as Cleveland has a bit more excitement. Thanks, Dick, for sponsoring our soccer team, being a great friend, and for your service.
