Donald Ray “Goog” Henson, 77, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Wednesday July 27, 2016 at Arbors at Gallipolis, in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born June 12, 1939 in Ironton, Ohio son of the late Emerson Ralph Henson and Lavern Rutledge Henson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna Henderson Henson and brother-in-law Darrell Edwards. He is survived by one sister Jennifer S. Edwards of Florida; one niece Melissa (Robert) Kantaeng; great niece and nephew Katelynn and Travis Hellard of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. He attended Chesapeake Nazerene Church, graduated from Chesapeake High School and retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Goog loved the Chesapeake Panthers, Ohio State Buckeyes and he never met a stranger. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
