1940 - 2016
 Merrell Eugene Farley, 76, of Glenwood, WV, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 7, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 4, 1940, in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Elva and Mabel Boothe Farley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lina Rae Ross Farley. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Robin Farley of Hurricane; one daughter Eugenia Ray Farley of Glenwood; three sisters Donna Mae, Shirley, and Bethel; two brothers, David and Randy; four grandchildren, Tuesday (Jason), T.J. (Jess), Ashley, and Kristin (Randy); and four great grandchildren, Cassie, Cooper, Matthew and Mason. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. David Cardwell. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. "Gene" Farley was my best friend in high school; married my beautiful sister Lina. It was love at first sight. Gene and Lina were wonderful parents, grandparents and neighbors. My heart goes out to Timmy and Gina, and family. The world has lost an encouraging couple. I have lost my best caring friends. Friend, Sister, aunt Sue. "God is good all the time."
