Sandra Liston RoySANDRA (LISTON) ROY, 68, of South Point, Ohio, lost her 2nd battle with cancer August 17, 2016 at Community Hospice Care in Ashland, KY with family at her side. Her husband Richard Roy, daughter Karrie Boggs and granddaughter Meghan Boggs were there daily taking care of her through her illness. Sandy was born May 29, 1947 in Kane Pa., the daughter of the late Elmer and Cleona Liston .Sandy was caregiver for her mother until her death and her Aunt Virginia Collier up until she went into the hospital. Besides her husband Richard Roy, she leaves behind her daughter Karrie (Mark) Boggs; step daughters Virginia Earl of IL, and Barbara LeGrand, of North Carolina; grandchildren Meghan Boggs, Amanda Mann of South Point OH, Camron (Samantha) LeGrand, of NC., Roger and Kyle Roy of Indiana, Stephanie (Andy) Parlier of IL, Jimmy Wolf of FL; great grandchildren Celsea and Cattie Mann , Owen and Evelyn (Evie) Rutherford of South Point OH, Addison and Hannah Parlier of Indiana; sisters Peggy Miller of North Augusta, SC, Aileen(David) Taylor and Connie Combs of Huntington, WV; brothers Clayton (Marilyn)Liston of Clarion, Pa. and Richard (Patricia) Liston of Huntington, WV; brother-in-law Doffie Roy of South Point, OH. Besides her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by brother Robert Liston, and step son Roger Roy. Sandy loved to spend time with grandkids If she wasn’t going shopping or to ball games with Calsea and Catilyn, she was playing in the sand, reading books on the floor and drinking chocolate milk with Owie and Evie. Sandy had a heart as big as her body, but could put you in your place in a minute. Her hobbies were flea markets and yard sales. She was loved by many and will really be missed by all. Sandy graduated from South Point High School and Huntington College of Businesses. She retired from AK Steel after 31 years where she made many good friends. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jim Wells. Visitation will be 1 hour before service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens South Point, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Dear Peggy, and All the Family We are so sorry for your broken heart, we know the sadness involved in the loss of your precious sister and your loved one, Sandy. Our hearts break for you at this sad time in your lives and we pray that God will give comfort to each of you. We will always love and cherish each of you and your friendship.
