Funeral services for Herbert Charles Sharp, 85, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sharp passed away August 23, 2016 a Silsbee Convalescent Center.
A native of Port Arthur, Charles was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He worked in the janitorial service for Silsbee ISD until retiring. He was a long time member of the Hwy 92 Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Sharp is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Vaughn and Osa Lou Sewell Sharp; daughter Vanessa Haynes; and brothers Dicky Sharp and Doug Sharp.
Survivors include his wife Eloise Sharp of Silsbee; sons Glenn Sharp of Huntsville and Paul Sharp and wife Sherry of Silsbee; daughter Louann Rhodes and husband Ronnie of Silsbee; grandchildren Billy Aden, Kimberly Gore Hudson, Ronnie Rhodes Jr., and Victoria Fleetwood. He is also survived by great grandchildren Jordan Ashley Rhodes, Nichole Gore, Rusty Gore and Christian Fleetwood.
Mr. Sharp will be missed by all his loving family and many friends.
