Funeral services for Dakota Shane Schriefer, 22, of Town Bluff will be 12:00 Noon Friday, September 2, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Lakeside Cemetery in Town Bluff. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Schriefer passed away August 28, 2016 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville.
A native of Jasper, Dakota was a longtime resident of Town Bluff. He proudly served his country in the US Army and worked for Dale’s Tool Company as a swimming pool installer.
Dakota is survived by his wife Alexandria Schriefer of Woodville; parents Alvin Schriefer Jr. and Rava Starkey Schriefer of Woodville; grandmother Mary Peppenhorst and husband Paul of Silsbee; son Vincent Shane Schriefer of Woodville; and brother Derek Riley Spittler of Town Bluff. He is also survived by aunts Debra Caldwell, Rita McNeil, Donna Crawford, Mary Jo Sutton and husband Jimmy, and Annie Divins and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dakota was a special person and will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.

So very sorry for your lose. Only some one who has lost a child knows the pain the two of you have. I pray God bless you and help you right now. People tell you it will get better but it will not. You will have to learn how to get by. You have a part of him with you. Your grandchild, to live for, so you can tell him about his Daddy. Because only you know what he was like as a child and he will ask you have to be here to tell Dakota's story. Love to the family from Aunt Jeannie.
