Funeral services for El Ray Rush, Sr. 81, of Trinity, formally of Silsbee, will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rush passed away September 4, 2016 at Silsbee Convalescent Center.

El Ray was born in Pineland on April 13, 1935 and was a longtime resident of Silsbee before moving to Trinity. He worked as an operator, finisher and shipper at Temple Inland. He was a Mason for 50 years and he proudly served his country with the US Airforce.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bertis and Mary Rush and his wife Johnnie Rush.

Survivors include his children Elray Rush, Jr of Silsbee, Sheila Lafloor of Lumberton and Jimmy Rush of Silsbee; stepchildren Brenda K. Bean of Orange, Ricky L. Moss of Buna, Mark D. Moss of Pauls Valley, OK, Phyllis R. Ladd of Orange, Tracy C. Moss of Buna, Terry Moss of Kirbyville and Brad E. Moss of Mauriceville; eight siblings and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
