Ronald Lee Stephens, 70, of Kenova, WV passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 at the VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born August 5, 1946 to the late Charles L. and Edna Blake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janet Stephens; siblings Charles L. Blake, Dorotha M. Menne, Mary Hemming, Bertha Woodyard, Betty Gerlach, Donna K. Sowards, Ruby Ratcliff, Robert Blake, Donald Blake, and Rosella Abbott. He retired from ACF Industries and was a former employee with the Veterans Home in Barboursville. He was a member of Kenova American Legion Post #93. He was a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran and a foster parent to many children. He is survived by one daughter Katrina (Dave) Brown of Wayne, WV; one son Ronnie (Marilyn) Stephens of Groveport, Ohio; four grandchildren Chance Brown, Morgan Stephens, Zack Eales, and Ronnie Black; and one brother Issac “Mick” (Ida) Blake of Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday September 10, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jerome Whitfield. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday September 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
