Deborah Kay Bailey, 65, of Chattanooga, TN went home to be with her Lord on Friday, September 16th at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Rowena Moody. Kay received her Masters of Education degree from Marshall University. She retired as a kindergarten teacher from Barboursville Elementary after 32 years of service. She was a faithful member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington, WV as well as Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank, TN. Survivors include her husband, Larry Bailey, two children, Courtney (David) LeMaster, of Chattanooga, TN, Trey (Terri) Bailey, of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren, whom were the lights of her life, Evan Bailey, Carson Bailey, Jake LeMaster, and Brynn LeMaster, of Chattanooga, TN; two cousins, Karel Lynn Moody, of Dayton, OH, and Anita Carol Taft, of Asheville, NC. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia, 25504. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. David Lemming and Pastor Dwight Martin officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of a truly great lady. We were classmates and friends at Williamson High School. She was such a good person and well liked by all who knew her. May God bless and comfort her family. Good bye Kay and may God hold you in his arms.

I was saddened to learn about the passing of my Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Bailey. I went back to visit her classroom a several times after I graduated High School just to say hello to her and Mrs. Morris. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
