Nancy Carroll Powell, 69, of Ona, WV, passed away September 19, 2016. She was born September 5, 1947, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late William Lawhon and Edna Katherine Alberts Lawhon. She was also preceded in death by her brother Billy; sisters Barbara Ann Adkins and Madeline Bailey; grandson Jeremy Cook; and brother-in-law Clovis Plumley. She is survived by her husband David Allen Powell; three daughters Barbie Black and Frank of Milton, Beth Chapman and Keith of Ona, and Alisa Sizemore and Jim of Huntington; two sisters Shelba Plumley and Louise Davis; three brothers Jerry, Joe, and Larry Lawhon; four grandchildren Andy Black and Hillary, Tyler Cook , Brooklyn Sizemore, and Carter Chapman; two great grandchildren, Kaleb Black and Emily McGuffin. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Terry Blake and Pastor Buddy Mills.
