Samuel Edwin Hughes Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2016 Funeral services for Samuel Edwin Hughes, 75, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Friday, September 30, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Hughes passed away September 26, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native of Jasper, Edwin was a long time resident of Silsbee. He worked as a banker before retiring. Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his parents Samuel Francis ‘Sambo’ and Maxine Merrill Rashall Hughes and wife Jo Ann Johnson Hughes. Surviving Mr. Hughes are his sons Michael Hughes of Wasilla AK and Mark Hughes and wife Wendy of Murphys CA; step-daughter Jill Warren of Lumberton; dear friend Betty Martinez of Silsbee; sister Maybelle Hepler and husband Lonnie of Silsbee and granddaughter Hannah Hughes. Mr. Hughes will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Maybelle and family, Betty and family our prayers with all of you in the loss of Edwin. Such a kind easy going man. Mark and Mike may you find peace in this time of sorrow. It is so hard to loss your father, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
