Richard Levi Evans, 78, of Huntington, WV, died on September 22, 2016 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Richard was born October 29, 1937 in Westmoreland and attended Vinson High School and Marshall University. Richard was the owner and operator of Evans Welding and Fabricating Company for over 50 years. He was formerly a teacher at East Huntington Trade School. He is survived by his wife Stella Evans; his brother Jack Evans; sister-in-law Mrs. William (Jean) Evans and sister-in-law Mrs. James (Sue) Evans; his children, Cheryl (Brian) Dowling and Deborah Dulchavsky; his grandchildren, Joseph (Nico) Conner, Nicole Baucom (?ance Todd), Alexandria, Mark, Lindsey, Michael, William; and a great grandson Colin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a sister-in-law Mary Ann Carter (Willis) who has been a tremendous help for Stella in the past months and dear friends Brenda and Rocco Morabito, and Marsha and Roger O’Dell. He was predeceased by his father, William Edward Evans, mother, Emogene Rowe Evans, stepmother, Sylvia Gothard Evans, brother William Evans, brother James Evans and sister-in-law Mary Helen (Honey) Evans; also his daughter Rebecca Evans Phelps and a grandson Dain Carson Evans. The Evans family would like to thank the employees of Evans Welding for their understanding and hard work during his terrible illness. We are also grateful for the loyalty of his customers. There will be a memorial service at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 10:30 A.M.
