Funeral services for Dorothy De Vries Rogers, 91, of Cleveland will be 4:30 pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Fred Pentecostal Church with interment to follow at Fred Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until service time at the church.
Mrs. Rogers passed away September 26, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Fox Lake Wisconsin and was a longtime resident of Cleveland. Mrs. Rogers was a clerk for Walmart and a homemaker.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Jenny Terpstra De Vries; husband Robert F. Rogers; brothers John De Vries, Pete De Vries, Billy De Vries and Ted De Vries and sisters Anna Hall, Jessie Yanke and Josephine Miller.
Survivors include sons Michael Rogers of Olivia, TX, and John Samuel Rogers and wife Kim of Lewisport, KY; daughters Reverend Theresa R. Chance of Cleveland, Jacky Mejia and husband Ephraim of Tomball, and Shirley Faye Bell and husband Mike of Huffman; sister Martha Moore of New Waverly; niece Jeri Vick and husband Hayne of New Waverly; nephew Jon Moore of Cleveland; seventeen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
