 Cecil Bernard Ridenour, 76, of Huntington, WV, passed away September 28, 2016. He was born February 3, 1940, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Ross Ridenour and Effie Howard Ridenour. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Joann Ridenour; one daughter, Dee Dee Spurlock; one son, Randall Shane Ridenour; one granddaughter, Justina Marie Smith; one great grandson, Chance Spurlock. He is survived by his wife Janice Handy Ridenour; three daughters, Debbie (Richard) Fulford of Huntington, Kimberly (Johnnie) Holley of Proctorville, OH, and Tammy (Clarence) Adkins of Branchland; two brothers Harold and Ben; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah Shane Spurlock, Travis Dwayne Spurlock, Roy Russell Fulford, Dalton Richard Fulford, Alexandria Smith, Erin Mayo, Brittani Adkins, Devin Adkins, and Austin Adkins; and eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, George (Delcina) Handy. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Scott Duncan. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Uncle Cecil will be greatly missed. He and my dad were the best story tellers, and as kids, my siblings and cousins would sit for hours and listen stories of their childhood. As adults, we enjoyed those same stories even more. RIP Uncle Cecil. Love you much.
