Della Marie Evans Ingles, 82, of Summit, is now rejoicing with her Savior. She died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family to whom she devoted her life. Throughout Marie's extended illness, her lifelong faith remained steadfast and her sweet spirit continued to bless everyone who came into her presence. She was a charter member of Cannonsburg Church of the Nazarene and a 20-year member of England Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Marie was born in Carter County to the late James and Cora Shaffer Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Ingles; a daughter, Brenda Gale Ingles Stevens; five brothers, August Evans, Johnny Evans, Lovell Evans, Otto Evans and Paul Evans; and three sisters, Hazel Evans, Hager Evans Bostick, and Catherine Evans Fryer. Marie is survived by five children, Janet Ingles (Arnold) Griffith, William (Janet) Ingles, Ronald (Melinda) Ingles , Sherry Ingles, and Rockie Ingles; six grandchildren, Mitzi (Misty) Griffith, Brenda Ingles (Robert) Lemaster, Eric Ingles, Seth (Brittany) Ingles, Lacy Ingles (Josh) Tussey and Jordan Ingles; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Clyde (Mona) Evans of Brunswick, Ga. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at England Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Catlettsburg with The Rev. Willy May officiating. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. condolences may be sent to steenfuneralhome.com.
