1937 - 2016
Boyd Lee Meadows, 79, of Milton, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born April 10, 1937 in Cabell County, a son of the late Paul and Ivy Leadmon Meadows. He was an entrepreneur and was the owner of the Halfway Market and the Milton Flea Market. He graduated from Milton High School where he began his agriculture career as the President of FFA. He went on to attend Marshall University. He worked for Blenko Glass for 37 years and was a member of the Guyan and State Soil Conservation, West Virginia Pumpkin Festival, Putnam County Bank Board of Directors, Lebanon Lodge, Cabell Huntington Hospital Board and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Elaine Hall Meadows; two daughters, Beth Williamson and her husband Anthony of Milton and Buffy Meadows; one son, Bruce Meadows; two special grandchildren, Clinton Williamson a student at Cabell Midland High School and Brooke Meadows who is a Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio; and two special relatives, Lessie Lawson and Exie Beaver. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Crystal, Sonya, Sierra, Betty, Donna, Sherry and the Cabell Huntington Home Health Care Staff. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane. Boyd Meadows was always a gentleman wherever you saw him. I rented a building for my business years ago and he was a fair landlord and always big hearted. He will be greatly missed.
